Originally from Eugene, Oregon, I was what my mom affectionately called, a tomboy in a dress. I played sports, loved anything to do with the outdoors and played often with my two older brothers at the park across the street. However, on the flip side, I loved all things girly. House and salon with my dolls were regulars in my play time. A blend of rough and tough and frill with some sparkle is ME.

 

I grew up in a salon in some ways. A family friend opened her own salon when I about 12 years old. In my family, everyone works hard for what they want. I was no exception. If I wanted any of my own services (believe me, I did. Waxing, tanning, hair, nails…. sign me up) I had to work it off doing janitorial work and eventually became the receptionist at the salon. I cannot express enough how much this early experience has helped mold me into the person and stylist I am today.

 

My journey to being a hairstylist took a few twists and turns, however since 2016, I have been fortunate to have the unique opportunity to work out of my own salon suite and now call My Salon Suite my home salon, located in the beautiful Newport Beach, CA.

 

I love being in a suite because it allows me and my guests to have a unique relationship that doesn't always happen in a busier environment. 

 

In my off time you can find me geeking out on anything history related, obsessing over what travel plans I have in the works, or cooking something mouthwatering for my boyfriend and me to devour. I go home to Oregon as often as I can because family, friends and green space is just good for the soul.
